Join my patreon to be part of future livestreams: patreon.com/stuffmadehere I'm still learning to livestream and forgot to pause sometimes o_O. Sorry for confusing audio. This a VOD of a patreon livestream I did reacting to lock picking lawyer attacking my locks. If you haven't seen them I recommend watching the main videos first: My video on the locks: bit.ly/35rRYrH Lock picking lawyer's vide...

I give commentary to the Lock V2 video directors commentary style. If you haven't seen the original video you should watch that first since this ruins it.
Time for a new lock?
To make the door fit the frame better instead of increasing the gap just chamfer the back edge of of the door.
2 year timeline for a new lock? Sounds like 2 years is up!!!
If you arent confident about your design you should not have sent LPL a xray of your lock. And from the livestream you dont even seem confident in the first place so that must mean he showed it to you off cam already.
It’s been 2 years ☹️
New lock for him? It’s been 2 years :)
bro be yapping.
Was there ever a new version of the lock?
Release the CAD files! Would love to make one of these myself
Good to see Wayne Solinski is doing great
Any chance for a v3? It's been over 2 years now🥲
Please tell me this is patented, or copy written, so people can't steal it.
I feel like this video is the weakest of the three, felt like you justifying instead of being.
Why didn’t these two just team up and make a criminally good lock to bring to market?
Considerations for DfM: Cover plate didn't need to be machined, 3D printed would have facilitated a plastic design that could be injection molded and cheap to make after the dies are created. A sheetmetal stamping would have worked as well. As things go with prototypes, I get that it's probably faster to mill out a piece of metal than it is to 3D print the plate. It's hours to make a 3D printed part, minutes to machine. In an actual production environment, there aren't idle CNC mills sitting around waiting for engineers to use them. And hours to 3D print is faster than days to have a local machine shop make one for you. The other option is to not make a plate at all, a sleeve interior to the hole would work as well. As far as eliminating the billet design, make the locking stucture separate from the exterior housing. I would think an exterior bezel design with features that hold the nested lock mechanism could be made by die casting.
Stuff stick to streaming....,...
Meanwhile Masterlock still can't be asked to fix their HUGE issues (as in you can unlock them by hitting it with your hand) after near 100 years...
Woah woah woah, I hope you’ve already patented both designs already!!!
The rest of the world supports Iran
If you could come up with an affordably manufacturable lock that LPL couldn't pick and gave his stamp of approval on, I think you'd have a best seller. Why not compete with Master?
Nothing matters. It was still picked. Even if it took 30 seconds. If it took two minutes, it is still picked.
14:40 the time is coming for V3 hopefully
cross examining everything he says? are you gonna change your name to the lock making lawyer? moving on
He didn't pick your locks, he had access to the design and figured it our from there. Oh, and the gap between lock and door. If these locks were fitted tight on a steel door, and LPL had no design information, he would have gone back to being a lawyer. If he had less of an ego, he would have admitted that. But then.....he's a lawyer...
Mmm... I'm sorry, but... could you please explain again why you didn't send him a lock that couldn't be unlocked? Because that wouldn't have been interesting? 🤣 Are you sure about that? 😂
SO salty! Love yer builds, Love his teardowns, You were just outclassed this time 😊
Wheres our new lock??
You need to bevel the door 3/16th of an inch on one side and it will shut easier and tight
14:32 it's been two years, and while you didn't say whether he would make a video about it, I still wonder if you did actually send him the lock and if he was able to pick it.
I have used the 'walking' method on my rear porch door with a gardening trowel when I was locked out as a kid. It's a fairly common issue on rear doors with too much gap and no cover.
I wonder how many locks he couldn't pick that he didn't publish a video of his failure?
I know I am waaay late to this party, but SMH is beyond reproach as far as reputation goes, don't infer anything negative from LPL this guy is hands down Jedi with all things involving locksmithing. I wouldn't take away anything personal for sure.
I'm two years late, is the perfect lock created yet?
But he wouldn't know about the arm unless he had it exposed as you sent it... it would take a person with x-ray vision to pick that lock.
Yo dude your 2 year mark is up
I hope you all can appreciate how this all arose from our dear departed friend, Bosnian Bill. Old snarky introduced me to lock picking. Then came an interesting collab with The lock picker who was a lawyer? Good times.
GEEZEwish you would shut the hell up so we can hear what he is saying about ya lock
"Felt that in my soul." There is no shame in this. I don't recall LPL asking for schematics. Consider this a fabulous beginning. A fabulous collaboration.
Start from the door..
14:30 I assume this video appeared in my feed again because of this statement
This is the exact way locks should and I hope are developed
It has already been 2 years now, LPL must be waiting for that lock StuffMadeHere promised in 2 years...
I was thinking that your wife is a handwriting expert and a archery master. Do you know who you married?
Two years!
2 years now.. where's the follow up?
It’s been 2 years has he sent him a new lock?
Subscribed for life because of 4:20. Nothing wrong with standing on shoulder but fresh eyes see different period. Doesn't mean it's better just means it is a new path to be exposed. Outflipping standing
I am waaay late but I paused your video at 0:45 to offer two points most likely covered in the two years since the publication of this video. 1st: Flipping awesome man, your first finished run stumped the local pro 1st rd and got high praise on quality from The Man🎉🎉. 2nd : The difficulty incured in the field as a one off compared to the format that your locks had been presented to the LPL is vast. I am not saying The Goat wouldn't have been able to prevail. I am saying the experience would have been waaaaayy diff. You gave him the key and a video etc. Irl, if anyone found it in the field they would be ignorant until knowledge developed.❤😊
Only a toy to LPL
You MADE this lock? That’s really awesome. I guess I just assumed factories and robots made locks. Never imagine that a person did it. That’s awesome man!
